He has been editor-in-chief of Metropolis since 2009, and member of the editorial board since 2005. He is currently Ph.D. student (Film, Media and Cultural Studies, ELTE, Budapest, Hungary) after graduating in Film Theory and Film History, MA and in Aesthetics, MA at the same university. Between 2007 and 2009 he was an associate researcher for Balázs Béla Stúdió Archívum [Archive of Studio Béla Balázs], and in 2009 he took part in the edition of BBS 50 – A Balázs Béla Stúdió 50 éve [BBS 50: 50 years of Studio Béla Balázs]. He has been a visiting lecturer at University of Szeged (2008–), at Budapest University of Technology (2012–), at King Sigismund College (2012–) and Vitéz János College (2005–2009). His articles, essays, book reviews and translation have appeared since 2004 in edited volumes, periodicals including Filmkultúra, Filmtett, Pannonhalmi Szemle, Replika and Metropolis, he has been edited five thematic issues of Metropolis.

 

 

His research interests include questions and methods of film analysis, Hungarian documentaries; experiments in cinematic language in the history of Hungarian film, Hungarian film in the Kádár regime, history of institution and films of Balázs Béla Stúdió [Studio Béla Balázs] as well as film and architecture.
